Spring Gala Auction Prep
Silent Auction | We Need Your Help Requesting Auction Items
Donation Request Letter | You give this to businesses to help them feel good about donating to our school. It contains our tax ID number (so they can take a tax deduction), information about our event, and a worksheet where you can fill in information about what is being donated.
At the Gala we array our donated treasures with information about each donor and gala attendees vie to “win” items in a silent auction. It is lots of fun, some people walk away with a great deal on some really neat things, and most importantly, we raise a significant chunk of cash to support our teachers and students.
Class Baskets
Our most successful auctions include a very special tradition of themed auction “baskets” prepared by each grade level. These are typically auctioned off live and fetch between $350 and $1000 each. Teachers, parents, and students from each grade work together to prepare the basket. For the 2022 auction, we will tabulate all of the class basket sales and distribute 50% of the revenue from the sale of the class baskets to be divided equally among all grade levels. The remaining 50% of the class basket proceeds will go to purchase something at the school to be used by all students (i.e. picnic tables).
The class basket auction chair on the Home and School Club is Gretchen Yamashita. She will be your point person, but each grade also has its own chairperson who you should coordinate with for the baskets in your students’ grades.
