Spring Plant Sale & Swap

Thank you to the many community members, parents, grandparents, students, and dedicated home and school club members who tuned out to both donate and purchase plants and to those who outfitted the Bradley HSC in gorgeous aprons and flowery sunhats. The inaugural plant sale was a big success, grossing over $2500 to help fund our teachers next year.

HSC Board in our garden finery to host the plant sale. Thanks to Gretchen Yamashita for the over-the-top garden hats and Pat Goulet for the custom-sewn aprons. You made the event a hit!

Here is how to get involved:

  • Plan to buy plants by attending the sale
  • Already a gardener?
    • Start some extra seeds and donate them to the school in early April
    • Divide or clone plants you already have established in your gardens (bulbs, succulents, and others work really well for this).
  • Get some kids involved.
    • Teachers–April Nelson and the Nelson Family Farms have put together growing kits for students. These are available during pick-up in the cafeteria. Students can start these seeds and keep them for their home gardens, or donate them back to the school to sell at the plant sale.
    • Parents and guardians–work with the children in your lives to grow some plants to donate.
  • Share with your gardening-inclined friends. Recruit them to donate plants and/ or have them plan to attend the sale.

Ready to commit? Checkout our current list of plants/ species and add those that you will donate.
